Patrick Flanagan attends Stanford University and studied under the tutelage of Mr. Scott Hunt at St. Mark’s School of Texas in high school. His senior year, Flanagan was recognized by the US Department of Education as a 2024 United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts, one of twenty artists and two photographers chosen in the entire country. Earlier that year, Flanagan was selected by YoungArts as a Winner with Distinction, where he studied with ten of the nation’s top high school photographers in Miami. His collection of national recognitions earned Flanagan a spot on the Texas Imagemaker Team, consisting of the top 10 high school photographers in Texas. Flanagan has worked as the primary photographer for Vandelay Hospitality Group, with work representing its brand concepts ranging from the fancy, east coast upscale feel of Hudson House to the casual, bright red 1950s vibe of Lucky’s Fried Chicken. He has also interned with the ATP as the on-court photographer for the Dallas Open professional tennis tournament and served as a player photographer at the Indian Wells BNP Paribas ATP Masters 1000 and Newport Tennis Hall of Fame ATP 250 tournaments. An athlete himself, Flanagan has reached a USTA junior tennis ranking as high as 114 in the country.
